NYC High School Film Audition Prep
We'll support you and your middle school or high school child with the film audition application process (story writing, storyboard, and student intro). We work in person or remotely.
My husband, Dan Beers, a professional film & TV writer/director, and I have twin daughters who have recently gone through the NYC High School application process, and we understand how challenging it can be. We believe that storytelling and learning the process of developing narratives (visual, spoken, and written) are valuable life skills that will benefit students throughout their lives.

Storyboard
Create an impressive storyboard based on your cinematic vision.
Student Introduction
Discuss your storyboard with clarity and explain your interest in the program.
Original Story Writing
Develop a thoughtful, original idea for the Art & Design or Frank Sinatra application.
Parent Testimonials...
Julie O.
(child accepted to their 1st choice school, Art and Design High School)
"When my son expressed interest in applying for a film program, we had no idea where to start. Building a portfolio from scratch was a stressful experience for my son, and we, as parents, had zero prior knowledge of what was involved. We were so very lucky that my friend introduced us to Merideth and Dan. They both went above and beyond to guide him from the basics through to completion. Their knowledge, experience, patience, and support were invaluable throughout the entire process. We are so incredibly grateful for their help."
Alina D.
(child accepted to their 1st choice school, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts)
"After the session, our son felt inspired and refreshed. He returned to the process with renewed energy, excitement, and confidence, and was incredibly proud of the work he ultimately submitted. Merideth and Dan were wonderful at cheering him on, highlighting his strengths, and challenging him to dive deeper creatively, while always making sure the ideas and work remained entirely his own. We would highly recommend Merideth and Dan to anyone with an aspiring film student. They are a true pleasure to work with."
